Florence is the capital of the Tuscany Region of the Italian Province of Florence. It is popular for its wines and honeymoon spots. Have you ever asked why it the number one vacation destination for Europeans? Of all the cities in Italy, Florence easily takes the tag of being the most beautiful. It is the origin of Italian renaissance and birthplace of great artists such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli that ensured its place in the world of popular art.

You will do your photography hobby a great disservice if you do not capture the beautiful sights of the Florence's sunset. Below are a couple of picture perfect spots to do this.

1. Ponte Vecchio Bridge

This bridge crosses the River Arno and is the best spot to capture sunset in Europe. From the sun rays illuminations on the waters of the river to the almost-therapeutic reflection of lights from the hotels and homes on the banks of the river; a photographer will have realized his dream by finding this spot.

2. Piazzale Michelangelo

The Piazzale Michelangelo is the best place to capture the sunset as you overlook the city’s skyline. The sights are simply breathtaking. Make sure you go to the top photography and observation deck.

3. Holy Trinity Bridge

This is another hidden gem for photography buffs. It was constructed after World War II and features most of its original construction material. The clear view of the sunset as you stand at the middle of the bridge is surreal. The clouds formations and ancient buildings that straddle River Arno's banks makes it a romantic place to capture the picture of your loved one as the illuminated waters form the backdrop.

4. IL Salviatino

This is a hotel whose top floor serves as photographers' spot. From the top of this building, you can capture the sun rays as they permeate through the towering towers of Florence. If you want to capture the sun from an aerial angle, this is the best place.

Florence is in a class of its own among the beautiful cities of the world. Its sinking sun makes Sir Dickens description of romance look drab. It is the idyllic romantic photography destination.
